Bhubaneswar: The Politics Odia Foundation, an independent political awareness and social welfare organisation of Odisha, is set to organise a high-profile Political Conclave to discuss one of the most debated issues in the state today, the growing focus of the Adani Group on Odisha’s mining sector and its implications for the people of Odisha.
The conclave will revolve around the central theme:
“Why is Adani Group focusing on Odisha’s mining sector, and what does Odisha gain from it?”
The event aims to create a platform for transparent, informed, and constructive dialogue on corporate investments in Odisha’s mineral-rich regions, covering key aspects such as economic development, employment opportunities, environmental responsibility, and the long-term impact on local communities.
According to the organisers, the conclave will witness the participation of senior political leaders, eminent journalists, environmental activists, social workers, and representatives from civil society. The discussion is expected to critically examine both the opportunities and challenges associated with large-scale corporate involvement in Odisha’s natural resources.
