Sambalpur: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday said that the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” is deeply reflected in the soil of Sambalpur, while addressing the closing ceremony of the five-day Marwar Mahotsav–2025 held in the historic city.
Speaking at the event, Shri Pradhan said the festival echoed the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “One India, Best India” initiative and showcased the true strength of the nation through the fusion of cultures from across the country.
“The real strength of India lies in its cultural diversity and mutual respect among states. Events like Marwar Mahotsav bring people together and strengthen national unity,” he said.
Highlighting development efforts, the Union Minister said that the pace of progress has accelerated in both Rajasthan and Odisha due to the presence of double-engine governments. He added that both states should work together and share responsibility for each other’s growth.
Shri Pradhan noted that Sambalpur is rapidly emerging as a symbol of cultural heritage blended with modern development. He described the festival as an important platform to preserve and promote India’s rich traditions while embracing progress.
Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla and Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma were the chief guests at the ceremony. Odisha’s Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water, Shri Ravi Naik, Sambalpur MLA Shri Jayanarayan Mishra, along with several eminent personalities, members of the Marwadi Youth Forum, and local citizens, were also present.
The event was organised by Marwadi Apu Manch, Khetrajpur, in collaboration with Rajasthan Foundation, Odisha Saujanya, and concluded with cultural performances celebrating India’s unity in diversity.
